Valley-Wide Counseling & Support Center – Lamar is focused on wellness, recovery, and resilience by providing traditional, longer-term counseling needs that may include:

At Valley-Wide Peer 1, we offer a safe and comfortable place for anyone who may be struggling with being overwhelmed, stressed, or having feelings of hopelessness. Clients will have a safe place to talk, while also having the support from peers who have experienced similar struggles as them. Peer specialists help individuals reduce stress and isolation, improve skills, promote positive self-esteem, build support networks, and connect with community resources.
Our Peer Specialists offer clients:
- Support and help with decision-making and setting boundaries
- Access to computers
- Links to community resources to aid with housing, employment, and other needs
- A caring, nonjudgmental ear and shoulder to lean on
