As a Family Nurse Practitioner, DeAnne Monson’s philosophy of care is deeply rooted in empowering individuals and communities. She prioritizes competence in every aspect of her practice, ensuring that patients receive accurate, up-to-date, and compassionate care. Through comprehensive patient education, DeAnne aims to demystify health information, enabling individuals to become confident participants in their own care journeys. She is dedicated to advocating for those who may lack the ability or resources to speak for themselves, championing marginalized populations to ensure their voices are amplified and their needs are addressed. Her ultimate goal is to leave each person and place a little better for having crossed her path.
DeAnne brings more than a decade of nursing experience, with a focus on various specialties such as cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, advanced heart failure, and transplant care. In addition, she has expertise in dermatology, podiatry, and wound care. Her clinical interests include preventive health, management of acute and chronic diseases, and women’s health.
Growing up in Louisiana with parents from Mississippi, DeAnne comes from deep southern roots. She has 11 brothers, 4 sisters, 17 children and 40 grandchildren. She and her husband recently relocated to Colorado to be closer to their grandchildren after living in Utah for 20+ years.
