In the article below, Megan Voss, a Valley-Wide Physician’s Assistant, discusses symptoms patients may exhibit when they have diabetes.
Many patients may have diabetes without knowing it. Patients may or may not have symptoms.
Symptoms of diabetes include the following:
- Urinating more frequently
- Increased thirst
- Increased hunger
- Blurry vision
- Fatigue
- Slow healing wounds
- Numbness or tingling in the legs or feet
- Weight loss.
If you have any of these symptoms, it is recommended that you see your medical provider for evaluation.
Early detection and treatment is important in order to reduce the risk of complications associated with diabetes.
