San Luis Valley native, Jerry Sierra is committed to meeting clients where they are, empowering them to navigate their own paths toward achieving their life goals. He prioritizes authenticity in his work, striving to create genuine connections. Jerry enjoys reconnecting with former clients within the community and learning about the positive impact he has had on their lives. He believes in planting seeds for future growth and success. After a varied work experience, Jerry began his higher education journey at the age of 31, earning two bachelor’s degrees and a master’s in counseling. His professional career includes a wide range of roles, including school counselor, education coordinator, child welfare worker, family therapist, assistant director of a non-profit, social services director at a nursing home, and crisis worker for a mental health agency.
Outside of work, Jerry enjoys being around his grandchildren, exploring the mountains, fishing and camping. He is a past Exulted Ruler for his local Elks club and says “The Shack” is one of his favorite books.
