The WIC Program at Valley-Wide Health Systems, Inc. celebrated World Breastfeeding Month on Aug 27,2014 at the Alamosa WIC Office. This year’s theme was “Breastfeeding: A Winning Goal for Life”. Recognizing mothers who breastfeed their babies is an important reminder for our WIC families, Valley-Wide employees and the community of the many benefits of breastfeeding. VWHS and WIC are working together with the WIC families and employers to help support and accommodate breastfeeding mothers returning to work.
