Valley-Wide’s Relay for Life Team participated in the Annual American Cancer Society’s (ACS’s) Relay for Life event on July 11, 2014. Though the team was small this year (totaling 7 members), we managed to raise $2,016 to support the ACS’s efforts to fight back against cancer.
ACS uses raised funds to sponsor research into cancer cures, provide support to people who have been diagnosed with cancer, and for public education about cancer and ways to prevent certain types of cancer. The ACS supports work involving all types of cancer.
