Our Valley-Wide Ordway clinic is unique among our locations. The clinic began its “life” as a private family medical clinic called Centennial Family Health Center. It was owned and operated by Karen Tomky, MSN, FNP, for over 16 years. In that time, Karen Tomky became a well-loved fixture of the Ordway community.
In 2019, Valley-Wide Health Systems made the strategic decision to transition the Centennial Family Health Center into our system of community health center clinics in the Arkansas Valley. At that time, Valley-Wide already had clinics in Rocky Ford, La Junta, and Las Animas. The clinic was rebranded as ‘Valley-Wide Ordway’, and Valley-Wide hired Karen Tomky and some of her original staff to continue providing family medical care in the community. The transition officially took place on October 1, 2019.
Shortly after integrating Valley-Wide Ordway into our system, Valley-Wide also added integrated behavioral health to the list of services available in the clinic.
