Valley-Wide Health Systems is pleased to announce that Allison Peddle, MD, has successfully completed the necessary requirements for recognition in the Geriatric Medicine Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) as a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Peddle has exhibited a level of mastery of medical knowledge worthy of recognition as a specialist in geriatric medicine, and in keeping with the Board’s
mission, she has demonstrated a commitment to excellence in this specialty. medicine is concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease in older people and the problems specific to aging.
Dr. Peddle joined the La Junta Clinic in September 2016 and has quickly developed relationships with her patients of all ages. With her special interest in geriatrics she is equipped to serve patients with complex health situations, and she is a resource for her fellow providers.
Dr. Peddle earned her medical degree at the University of Texas and completed a Family Medicine Residency and Geriatric Fellowship at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. She earned Masters and Bachelors of Science degrees at the University of Denver.
Dr. Peddle enjoys the full scope of medical practice and has had the opportunity to practice worldwide in Russia, Ghana, El Paso, Ecuador and most recently Zambia.
Her interests include reading books (mysteries, fiction, sci-fi, non-fiction), cooking new foods, traveling to new countries and mountain activities in all seasons.
Dr. Peddle is excited to serve all patients, of any age, and also looks forward to joining other Valley-Wide doctors in the care of OB patients throughout their pregnancies and deliveries.
