Phyllis “Freddi” Pennington, DO, MBA has recently joined our Fremont Family Medical Center in Cañon City.
Dr. Pennington earned her medical degree at the Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pomona, California. She then completed the North Colorado Family Medicine Training Program in Greeley, Colorado.
Most recently Dr. Pennington served as a primary care physician in Leadville, Colorado. With interests in both medicine and travel Dr. Pennington took an opportunity to work for a time in New Zealand, running a rural clinic in a small community, providing primary care and urgent care.
Dr. Pennington looks forward to seeing patients of all ages, including prenatal and pediatric patients, and she includes osteopathic manipulative treatment or OMT in her practice. She enjoys sharing her knowledge by teaching new medical professionals.
Dr. Pennington had a “prior life” working in the telecommunications business after earning her BS and MBA in business administration in Denver.
