Valley-Wide Health Systems (Valley-Wide) wants everyone to receive the health care they need and deserve. In addition to our clinics, Valley-Wide has an outreach team that provides health screenings and information about financial assistance programs and services in many local communities including those in agriculture.

Barriers that sometimes prevent people from getting the care they need can be the cost of healthcare and Valley-Wide can assist patients to meet that challenge. There are several financial assistance programs that are based on family size and income. These programs are for individuals or families with or without insurance coverage. The programs help to bring down the final cost of care for our patients.

During community outreach events and in our clinics patients may be identified as being uninsured and believe they cannot afford medical services. When patients are identified as needing help with the cost of care they are put in contact with an Enrollment Specialist. Our Enrollment Specialists can help you with the programs that best fit your needs, such as Medicaid eligibility and sliding fee programs, as well as help you shop for affordable insurance on the Connect for Health Colorado Marketplace.

The ACA (Affordable Care Act) is still the law for 2018. Although there are reports in the news that the cost of insurance coverage is going up as this cost increases, so does the financial assistance in the form of a Tax Credit. The Tax Credit is the monthly amount of money the Federal Government sends the insurance company that you are enrolled with so you only pay the difference. Open enrollment for 2018 will be from November 1st 2017 to January 12th 2018. In order for your new policy to be effective on January 1st 2018 you must enroll by December 15th 2017.

If you need to see a medical provider, but are uncertain how to cover the cost of services, give us a call to schedule an appointment to speak to an Enrollment Specialist for assistance. An Enrollment Specialist can be reached at (719) 383-5900, Monday thru Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm.
