Mental Health First Aid Training

Valley-Wide Health Systems is offering Adult Mental Health First Aid training courses. The cost is $50 per person.

La Junta, CO 81050

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an early intervention public education program. It teaches adults how to recognize the signs and symptoms that suggest a potential mental health challenge, how to listen nonjudgmentally and give reassurance to a person who may be experiencing a mental health challenge, and how to refer a person to appropriate professional support and services.  

The MHFA course is an 8 hour in-person skills-based training course that teaches participants to identify, understand, and respond to mental health and substance use challenges.

May 7, 2024 8:00 am -5:00 PM

*There will be a lunch hour at noon during each class*
