An Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) workshop is being offered at the San Luis Valley Behavioral Health Group with the generous support of the SLVBHG and Adams State University’s Counseling Center. ASIST provides participants with the knowledge and basic skills to intervene with a person at risk of suicide. Refreshments and Snacks shall be provided.
Over 1,000,000 people have taken the workshop, and studies have proven that the ASIST method helps reduce suicidal feelings for those at risk.
