Valley-Wide Chief Operating Officer Adam Roberts recently graduated from the prestigious UCLA/Johnson & Johnson Healthcare Institute. The 11-day program was held on UCLA’s campus in Brentwood, CA.
Roberts was also joined by Valley-Wide Board of Directors Vice-Chair Rick Manzanares for the final two days of the program.
“I want to thank everyone that supported me in this endeavor,” Roberts stated. “My goal throughout the program was identifying how to use the knowledge I was gaining to positively impact our company and the patients we serve.”
Roberts also had the opportunity work on a Community Health Improvement Project (CHIP) and was selected to present to program participants, faculty, and executives from Johnson & Johnson. The project is focused on systematically improving health outcomes and reducing unnecessary costs with low and high-risk Valley-Wide patients.
“As I worked on this project, I felt excited to collectively share the work with the audacious goal of being the organization that provides the best health outcomes for all patients in our communities,” Roberts explained.
The program featured 36 leaders in healthcare from across the nation. Participants were exposed to a curriculum featuring education around Leading and Managing Change, Medical Informatics, and Social Determinants of Health.
