What is the Convenient Care Community Clinic in Alamosa?  It is a walk-in clinic for people who need acute but not emergency care. No appointment is necessary. It is not a Primary Care Clinic to provide ongoing care. It is staffed every day by doctors, mid-level practitioners and experienced nurses.  It’s open 8am – 7pm during the week and 8am – 5pm on weekends.  Holiday hours are 8am – 2pm.

There is no extra charge for this convenient care!

What is an “acute” problem?  It is a non-life threatening condition, but it needs to be seen soon to prevent further complications.  Examples include vomiting/diarrhea, colds, ear aches, coughs, nose bleeds and simple cuts.  Problems that SHOULD NOT be taken to Convenient Care are suspected strokes or heart attacks, major cuts, burns, refills of medications, or car accident or work injuries.

A triage nurse will evaluate you to ensure you are in the correct place for your healthcare problem.  You may be sent to the Emergency Department if needed, or referred to your primary care provider if your condition is one that can wait and be better addressed at your home clinic.

Convenient access to other health care navigators is here, too!  Case managers will help you find a primary care provider if you need one, for instance.  Financial eligibility specialists can assist you in applying for insurance and other health care assistance programs.

¿Qué es la Clínica de Cuidado Comunitario conveniente en Alamosa? Es una clínica ambulatoria para personas que necesitan atención médica, pero que no sea emergencia. No es necesario hacer cita. No es una clínica de atención primaria para proporcionar atención continua. Su personal está compuesto cada día por los médicos, practicantes de nivel medio y enfermeras con experiencia. Está abierta de 8am – 7pm durante la semana y 08 a.m.-5 p.m. los fines de semana. Horas durante días de vacaciones son de 8 a.m.-2 p.m.

¿Qué es un problema de “aguda”? Es una condición que no amenaza la vida,  debe ser examinado pronto para evitar mayores complicaciones. Ejemplos incluyen vómitos / diarrea, resfriados, dolores de oído, tos, hemorragias nasales y cortes sencillos. Los problemas QUE NO se debe tomar a la Atención Conveniente  sospecha de accidente cerebrovascular o ataques al corazón, cortes mayores, quemaduras, recargas de medicamentos, o accidente de tráfico o accidentes de trabajo.

Una enfermera lo evaluará usted para asegurarse de que usted está en el lugar correcto para su problema de salud. Usted puede ser enviado a la sala de urgencias, si es necesario, o referido a su proveedor de atención primaria, si su condición es una que puede esperar y ser mejor dirigida en su clínica comunitaria.
