The new, incoming Rocky Ford Chamber President, Paty Soltero recognized the need for a cultural celebration in rocky Ford that has been missing for well over 10 years so she gathered a committee and with a lot of hard work and volunteers, planned a very successful Cinco De Mayo Celebration.
As part of the celebration on Saturday May 9, 2015, a parade was planned and Valley-Wide’s very own, Lorraine Rodriguez was asked by the committee to be the 1st Annual Queen of the celebration and ride as a guest of honor in the parade. Lorraine was recognized for her dedication and work in the community as the Arkansas Valley Fiesta Committee and Queen Coordinator for 17 years and the Rocky For High School Cheer-leading Coach for 8 years. The Committee also wanted to show their appreciation to Lorraine as she has been an inspiration to others for being an example of a strong, intelligent woman and most of all, a “Go Getter”.
Lorraine has worked as a Dental Case Manager at Valley-Wide for the past 10 years, she is also an advocate for breast health and colorectal awareness. Lorraine is a much deserving, beautiful woman and we are all very happy that others recognize her value, not only to Valley-Wide, but, to the Arkansas Valley Community.
Congratulations, Lorraine!
