The team at Valley-Wide Edward M. Kennedy Dental Clinic in Monte Vista visited over 200 elementary students to wrap up National Children’s Dental Health Month last week.
Each class of students was educated on the importance of visiting the dentist regularly, sugar bugs, and how to brush and floss properly. Each student was also given a goodie bag with a toothbrush, floss, and toothpaste.
“Some of the students were so excited, they went to the bathroom right after the presentation to brush their teeth right away,” said Clinic Manager Jami Drysdale. “It is great to get out into the community, especially when you get to visit smiling kiddos and teach them topics that will keep them healthy.”
