Scott DeRuiter, MD has recently joined the Convenient Care Community Clinic, located in Alamosa, Colorado. Dr. DeRuiter is board certified in Family Medicine, and he has a particular affinity for urgent care medicine, so the CCCC will be a good fit for him!
Dr. DeRuiter grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan and earned his medical degree at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in Lansing, Michigan.
His post-graduate clinical training included both an internship and residency at the Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies.
Dr. DeRuiter is an active outdoors-person, pursuing primarily mountaineering, skiing and bicycling. He completed the multi-day Ride the Rockies bicycling tour as a “Riding Medic.” He has also combined his professional and leisure-time interests by attending the Wilderness Medicine Institute in Pitkin, Colorado. Dr. DeRuiter enjoys reading and ballroom dancing.
