About Virtual Visits

Our virtual visits are done through a tool called Patient eHealth through InteliChart. This tool is available on many devices including smart phones, tablets and desktop computers. A WiFi connection is required. If you don’t have WiFi, but would prefer a virtual visit over an in-person visit, we can accommodate you with something we’re calling a “curbside appointment.” With a curbside appointment, you can park in the parking lot of whichever clinic is most convenient for you, and use our company’s WiFi for your virtual visit.

What kind of appointments can be done through Patient eHealth?

• Chronic illness such as diabetes and high blood pressure. 
• Visits that just require visual inspection for virtual visits, ie, skin conditions, wound check, etc.
• Medication management such as refills or adjusting medication.
• Pain management if stable and established with a Valley-Wide provider. 
• New patients may get established as a telehealth visit.  This visit can be changed to an in-person visit at the discretion of the provider.
• Substance use disorder, established and home inductions.
• Other types of visit that don’t require an exam.
• Well child checks, sports physicals and foster care exams can be performed through a video visit. An in-person visit is preferred if immunizations need to be updated.

Are Virtual Visits HIPAA compliant?

Yes, Virtual Visits are HIPAA compliant.

How do I schedule a Virtual Visit?

When you make your appointment with us, all you have to do is tell the scheduler you’d like to have a virtual visit. That’s it!

What kind of device do I need in order to use Patient eHealth?

You will need a smart device with a camera, such as a tablet, smart phone, or computer.

What if I don’t have a smart device?

You can still do a virtual visit, however you will need to come to the parking lot of one of our clinics to borrow a clinic tablet and use our curbside Wi-Fi for your appointment.

Why would I want to do a Virtual Visit?

Virtual visits are very convenient – you can be seen by a Valley-Wide provider from anywhere with a WiFi connection. Additionally, if you have medical reason to avoid coming into the clinic in person, such as a contagious illness or mobility issues, you can still receive some services.
