Diabetic patients can have additional problems with their teeth. Caring for your teeth and gums daily can help prevent future problems. Regular visits to the dentist can manage these problems to keep your teeth healthy.
Keeping your blood glucose under control is very important to your overall dental care.

Dental care
Make sure to see your dentist every 6 months. It is important for your dentist to work with your health care provider in managing your diabetes. Remind your dentist or hygienist at each visit that you have diabetes; they will help you understand the importance of dental care and work with you to achieve a healthy mouth.
