Valley-Wide Health Systems had the opportunity to partner with the Town of Center in submitting an application for a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the State of Colorado – Department of Local Affairs.
This grant application was for $600,000 to support the renovation of the recently purchased building at 135 E 6th Street in Center as a modern dental clinic to serve the people of Center and Saquache County. We recently received word form the Department of Local Affairs that our project was selected and will be fully funded at $600,000. This is a very exciting news and the beginning of another important project to increase access to, and the quality of, our services.
The partnership with the Town of Center was essential in securing these funds because they are only available to statutory governments. Therefore, we are thankful for the Town Boards support and their passing a resolution in support of our project and this applicaiton.
