SLV Habitat for Humanity is making the dream of home ownership possible! They work with families who are unable to obtain a traditional mortgage but are willing to pitch in on constructing their new homes. SLV Habitat’s work is made possible through generous donations of time, labor, funding, land and other resources. Families make mortgage payments that go into a revolving “Fund for Humanity” to build the next SLV Habitat home for the next family!
Each July SLV Habitat invites riders to pedal 35-miles, a Metric Century or the 100-mile Century embraced by the dramatic 14,000 foot peaks of the Sangre de Cristo and San Juan mountains. Riders in the Bike 2 Build raise donation moneys and in turn experience breathtaking Colorado and the great expanse of the San Luis Valley, one of the world’s largest and highest alpine valleys. Valley-Wide was a proud sponsor of the 2016 event!
