Valley-Wide Health Systems, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of a new dentist, Karl Kohlgraf, DDS, PhD to our San Luis Valley professional dental team. Dr. Kohlgraf earned his B.A. in Biology at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. He earned a Ph.D. in Pathology from the Cancer Research Training Program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and then went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery, or DDS, degree from the University of Iowa.
He completed a general practice residency in Dentistry at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Dr. Kohlgraf has participated in research fellowships and made research presentations in the fields of oncology and dentistry, and his research work is published in various scientific journals.
Dr. Kohlgraf will provide a full range of dental care services to patients of all ages. He will work with his fellow Valley-Wide medical and dental providers to create a “medical and dental home” for all patients. He enjoys teaching and mentoring students and devoting time to volunteer dental work. Dr. Kohlgraf looks forward to learning about the San Luis Valley.
