Allyssa Funk strives to build relationships with patients by treating them with respect, dignity and compassion. Her goal is to provide the best care possible for each individual; not just based on her own personal opinion or preference, but in a way that aligns with her patient’s values, culture, and beliefs. She will put your best health interests first and never forget that a patient is a person first. Allyssa enjoys Family Medicine because there is a little bit of everything in it. She gets to practice cardiology, women’s health, pulmonology, behavioral health and so much more! Her areas of clinical interest include women’s health and urology. Some of her favorite appointments with patients are based around family planning.
Allyssa grew up in northeastern Colorado, near Sterling, on her family’s ranch. Growing up as a ranch kid, returning to work in a rural area is like returning home for her. She has experienced firsthand how limited access to healthcare can be for rural areas, and she wants to make a difference in that disparity. Allyssa’s favorite hobby outside of work is reading. During the summer months, you can find her on a golf course or camping whenever possible. She is a HUGE Colorado Avalanche fan! She watches their games religiously and especially loves to watch them play live at Ball Arena whenever possible.
