Eric Marty began his career in the medical field in the late 1970’s when the PA profession was just coming of age. He found a challenge in applying for the PA program and be in a profession that was unique and had a foundation based on team based patient care. Eric sees patients from many different sides during an evaluation, trying to assess more than one problem that frequently exists, especially in the elderly. He enjoys the diversity that caring for an aging population provides along with the satisfaction that comes with improving the lives of patients that he has helped manage. Eric most recently worked in Allergy and Immunology for 4 years and has a solid background in management of allergic disorders. He also enjoys acute care, internal medicine and family practice.
Eric lived in the San Luis Valley and worked for Valley-Wide Health Systems in the early 1990’s to 2000 as a PA, but his path in life took him into a few added medical specialties. After wanting to come back to the valley for many years, he and his wife Tiffany made the decision in 2023 to return to rural Colorado. Eric says that he has come back to the valley with much more experience that when he left, and is glad to be providing care in San Luis to a population with a variety of complex medical disorders.
Outside of the clinic, Eric hopes to get back into some hobbies including motorcycling, hiking, and exploring the vast areas of the valley and other parts of Colorado, as well as fly fishing. He has not touched a fly rod since 2000 as nothing can compare to fly fishing in Colorado!
