Dr. Petty’s philosophy of care revolves around his faith. Dr. Petty strives to provide exceptional comprehensive care to underserved communities. He values care that considers the patient’s experience, and meets them where they are. Dr. Petty has a love for learning, finds satisfaction in serving others, and always does his work with professionalism. Creating a foundation of trust with his patients is central to his practice philosophy and will not be compromised.
Dr. Petty has special interest in wisdom tooth removal/oral surgery, advanced Endodontics (root canals), periodontal surgery (gum grafts/crown lengthening/osseous resective surgery/open flap debridement), and clinical photography. He chose to go into dentistry mainly because of early exposure to the dental field from my family. Dr. Petty’s dad is a dentist, his mom is the office manager, and his sister is a receptionist in an oral surgery practice.
Dr. Petty is originally from Tullahoma, TN a small town in southern, middle Tennessee. He came to rural Colorado because he’s a National Health Service Corps Scholar and wanted to fulfill his commitment to the underserved in a small town.
Dr. Petty enjoys reading the Bible in his free time. He also likes spending time with his wife and 11 month-old son, camping, hiking, photography, singing, and playing the guitar. A fun fact about Dr. Petty is that he tends to hum and whistle while he works!
