John Green believes that patients and providers working together will contribute to the patients spiritual, mental, and physical well-being. His journey as a Family Nurse Practitioner began in 20066, and since then, he has gained experience in various settings, including retail clinics, urgent care, emergency departments, and family practice offices. These diverse work experiences have contributed to his ability to deliver comprehensive and compassionate care. provide comprehensive and compassionate care. He particularly enjoys working in family practice and urgent care environments.
John graduated from Fort Stockton High School in Texas and enlisted in the United States Navy to explore the world, although he found this challenging while aboard a submarine. During his time in the Navy, he began volunteering with the American Red Cross and became an instructor trainer in CPR and First Aid, which led to his desire to become a Nurse Practitioner. As a nurse/NP, he wanted to work in a rural community, but life led him along many different paths. However, the Lord, knowing his love of the desert and his wife’s love of the mountains, showed us the San Luis Valley. Both fell in love with the area and decided to settle down. Now, John feels he can pursue his desire to work in a rural setting while enjoying hobbies such as woodworking and hiking.
