Justin is a 2009 graduate of the University of Colorado School of Pharmacy. He has served as the Pharmacy Director for Valley-Wide since 2010. Dr. Hanel was born and raised in Alamosa, and was grateful for the opportunity to return home for his pharmacy career.
Dr. Hanel has completed advanced trainings and certifications in Anticoagulation Therapy Management, Pharmacy Based Immunization Delivery, National Incident Management System, Pharmacist and Patient-Centered Diabetes Care, Health Care Advocacy, and Advanced 340B Operations.
Justin also serves as a Clinical Instructor for University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy by precepting and overseeing students in introductory and advanced pharmacy practice experiences. In 2016, Dr. Hanel was recognized with the “Excellence in Precepting award for Ambulatory Care” from CU Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
In his free time, he loves spending time with his family, camping, fishing, bowling and participating in Spartan Races.
