Laura always wanted to work in the field of behavioral health and started at a young age in the field with education and experience in different helping areas. She believes that people of all ages need healthy relationships in order to survive and to thrive and with that comes the need for healthy communication and personal awareness. Life experiences and relationships with ourselves and with others help shape who we are. All people truly are capable of making positive changes with the right supports in place and therapy can help us get where we want to be. Laura has experience with trauma, attachment, Polyvagal Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy, Early Childhood, and AcuDetox.
Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Laura moved to Colorado in 2006 to work in rural behavioral health through the HRSA National Health Services Corps. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family and friends. Being outside hiking, fishing, running or gardening are some of her favorite things to do. She also loves live music and concerts.
