Roy Barnett is a board-certified Physician Assistant committed to providing excellent, evidence based care in collaboration with patients. Roy has experience in providing healthcare to rural populations and strongly believes that healthcare is a human right. Roy is dedicated to providing healthcare to uninsured and underinsured populations and improving access to care for all patients. Roy feels that rural Colorado offers the opportunity for him to work in an undeserved area. He enjoys the small town atmosphere and the access to multiple national and state parks.
Roy grew up in a military family and traveled frequently. Colorado was the last state his family was stationed in. He was fascinated by biological sciences in high school and undergraduate level education, especially human physiology. When Roy graduated, he became certified as an EMT in order to gain some exposure to the medical field. Roy enjoyed being able to apply what he had learned to help others and decided to pursue it further. In his free time, Roy enjoys reading, hiking, and martial arts.
