Valerie Engle, LPC/LAC
Valerie teaches patients to build skills for dealing with the ups and downs of being human, helping them learn personal coping techniques for managing life events with greater confidence. She assists clients in finding their inner strength, accessing their wisdom and developing strategies to help them to feel successful in managing their life.
Valerie has a keen interest in integrating our physical, emotional, spiritual and mental parts of ourselves for healing. She’s also interested in trauma sensitive gentle yoga, tai chi, breath and breathing practices for managing anxiety and trauma symptoms. Her recent studies include Polyvagal practices, HeartMath® heart centered breathing for stress management and Trauma Sensitive HeartMath® techniques.
Valerie’s hobbies include making art, including; acrylic, watercolor, gourds, quilting and sewing, working with beads and stones, and she’s venturing into mosaic projects. She also enjoys house plants and container gardening, bicycle riding and hiking.
Valerie moved here from Washington state, where her grandchildren still live. She is excited to experience the beauty of nature in Colorado style – and especially our many hot springs!
