Chastidy Chacon, LPC believes that each and every person deserves access to supportive, respectful, effective mental health care that is both person-centered and trauma-informed. She chose to pursue a career in the behavioral health field after witnessing firsthand the negative effects of mental health and substance use issues had on close friends and family members.
Chastidy is focused on building strong, trusting relationships with clients, who are at the center of decision making for their care. She strives to treat all clients with respect, kindness, and dignity while promoting hope, healing, and overall wellness. Her experience includes treating a wide array of mental health and substance use issues as well as working with clients who are mandated to treatment, or involved in the criminal justice system. Chastidy is especially interested in Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health, Trauma and Trauma-Informed care, and Forensic Psychology.
Chastidy is a Colorado native. She grew up in the southern part of the San Luis Valley, and understands how difficult it can be to obtain adequate mental health care at times which is why she feels so passionate about helping residents of our community gain that access. In her free time, Chastidy enjoys spending time with family, traveling, playing softball, attending festivals or concerts, and being in the mountains, camping, fishing, hunting, hiking, or just enjoying nature.
